Bio:
The grandson and son of two former top flight profreshional Splatoon players—Orlando and Orestes Augustín respectively, Omar Augustín aspires to match up to their level of greatness, especially that of his legendary grandfather. While an official team captain has yet to be named, Omar has undertaken a leadership role on the team, also like his grandfather did. However, Orlando worries that his grandson is putting too of a burden on himself, as evidenced by his long hours spent in the gym, in the shooting range, and in the war room, where the next game’s strategy is thoroughly planned.

Fortunately, Omar finds ample ways to loosen his tentacles, usually by dancing to salsa. He is best friends with Santiago Kappablanka , who is also the grandson of a past great player and also shares an interest in baseball. Omar has also been great friends with Vladimir Splatimov ever since both made their profreshional debuts at about the same time. More importantly, Omar knows that he has competent teammates who are just as committed to winning as he is and he no longer has to shoulder the burden alone.

Scouting analysis:
Augustín has similar advantages and drawbacks as Splatimov, albeit to lesser degrees: increased strength and durability offset by being a slower, larger target for opponents. He is a force to be reckoned with on both offense and defense, but he prefers offense like most of his teammates since he can apply pressure onto their opponents and force them into mistakes. This is reflected in his average number of splats per game, which is unusually high for a support player.

He is equally capable with every variant of the Dynamo Roller, exploiting the long range and wide spread of ink to either keep his opponents at bay or splat them outright. He currently prefers the Gold variant for its Ink Armor, which both protects his team and makes himself that much more resilient. He can also effectively wield the Splat Roller and has been recently practicing with other weapons to improve his versatility, namely various medium ranged blasters, splatlings, and the new Tenta Brella. He is currently interested in trying out the upcoming Explosher and Kensa Dynamo Roller.
