Fast Reflexes: When it comes to close combat, he’s good at mirroring, blocking, and getting past a defense at a rapid pace. Distant combat lowers his reflex time.
Merciful : He doesn’t want to destroy an enemy unless he absolutely has to. He tries to spare them the best he can.
Good with teams: Enjoys working with a team, having people that have his back and having a reason to fight and defend.

Backs off too soon: Sometimes he might let an enemy go to easily, usually resulting in the enemy getting another shot at him when he doesn't expect it.

Background
Cordin was brought into a loving family with two parents, two older twin siblings, and two younger twins. Despite living in the country, he grew up in a big community that went by "small town" politics. His parents owned a large ranch, complete with plenty of livestock and other farm animals. Although things were great, at age 5 Cordin witnessed an event that scarred him beyond imagination, changing how he saw the world and the living creatures in it.* He tried to cope the best way he knew how, mostly by taking it out on his sister's dolls or on the smaller livestock, but his parents became angry and fearful of what he was becoming. After a few years of slowly being ostracized and pretty much disowned by his parents, Cordin finally snapped and lashed out with no regard to the consequences, which resulted in a fatal conclusion to his parents. The alien invasion happened the next day, so not only was Cordin’s mess was covered up, but he assumed that the alien invaders had killed his parents. He had no memory of committing the act.
While in captivity, he went back and forth between the Monsoros and another alien power. Since Cordin exhibited violent behaviors at such a young age, he caught the attention of this alien power. They decided to try and recreate what Cordin experienced when he was 5 to draw out his murderous tendencies that he exhibited so that he could be their new main weapon against enemies. Whenever he was returned to Monsoros, he would usually be put in the arena or tested.
The day Cordin was rescued, he was actually in specialized section of a Monsoros ship that held prisoners that also belonged to the other alien power. His roommate, who was notorious for helping prisoners make minor escapes, started to plan a bigger escape for him and Cordin. With both of them working together, Cordin was able to break free of the cell first. Unfortunately, he didn't get very far because there were guards in more places than they expected. As a punishment for getting caught by a guard, Cordin was taken onto a different Monsoros ship that was filled with humans and was heading to a special facility. This ship was taken over by the Nymm and Cordin was rescued and later made into a cadet.
