Description
A powerful knight who was once human turned spectral guardian via a ritual before their death. These Knights were long ago used to guard places and objects such as temples treasures and much others, before the Knights become phantoms the ritual binds their soul to their armor and skeleton so that they are resurrected upon dying so that they can indefinitely carry out their sworn duties. They are hostile to any who would come between their charge like trying to pass through a doorway they guard and taking an object they guard, most of the time they are passive-aggressive they'll only attack, if you provoke them so usually they "live and let live" others won't kill you immediately but warn you either drawing their weapon at you or holding up a hand in a "halt" like command, while others will just attack the moment their line is crossed. These Knights even in death have a code of honor and can be challenged and if they're ever defeated they will kneel before the victor bowing their heads presenting their weapon, of which the victor will use to strike the knight down by impaling their heart which over time was crystallized and encased in an orb which glows ominously in their open chest cavity, freeing it from its curse allowing the soul to move on and their armor to fall silent. After the heart is struck their armor begins to rust and their ghostly body fades away finally their bones inside their armor disintegrates into dust. Sometimes the Knights weapon and shield stays as it is still possessing its magic properties and luster as an additional gift from it.
