It's too bad that Ahiru didn't permanently stay as a human by the end of finale. And I still can't say whether or not those two had a romantic relationship by the end of the series or was it just DEEP friendship. Still I can totally imagine Fakir being like this (although there's no way Ahiru could be that forward >:3).

So it is as I thought. I mean when Fakir said that "I'll be allways by your side." I thought that that could mean A) Luff or B) Deep friendship. After all Fakir was all like that when Mytho was in vegetable state XD so I thought that option B would be more likely.
And from what I can see for the sake of canon ending, it's more likely that Fakir and Ahiru lived together as good friends while Fakir wrote all sorts of good things blah,blah,blah...
And that's where fanon comes in. Luckily there are lots of fanfics and fanart out there so I can go all "Whee!" at fan written romance :3.
I personally think that Fakir should have turned Ahiru back to human and then make it so that NO-ONE could alter the world no matter who or what they were. I mean if guy keeps making everything all nice and sappy, then dies and after that disasters strike either by naturally or via spinner's pen it would be even more hard to those who had gotten used to happiness and sunshine (not to mention a cliche line that "bad things are also part of normal life").
Well enough of that rant, have you ever watched Card captor Sakura? And by Card Captor Sakura I mean the original Japanese version, not the English crap where they removed ALL possible love between characters and edited all sorts of other things starting from names and so on.

Personaly, I think Fakir does love her. He's obviously crushing on her and he's devoted to her by the end of the show, even thinking of her as 'his princess'. Ahiru on the other hand only just got over her crush on Mytho and was too... ocupied doing other stuff and being her naive self to even notice. So for something to develop, imho, it'd have to be in the future.
Aka, yah, the romance would've happened later on XD they're really awkward characters, it'd have taken a long while, lawls. But that's the fun of it!

Well I was kinda thinking that "maybe Fakir has a crush on Ahiru" at first but then I thought that "Nah, I'm being delusional. He's just being loyal and stuff." Still now that I see that I'm not the only one thinking it in a romantical way I can go all "Whee, so I really was right in the beginning".....Agh, I'm not making any sence am I?
Anyway, CCS must be my favorite anime so far. Shaoran and Suppi are my fav characters ^^. It was kinda of a shock when I found out that Shaoran's voice actor was a woman (who BTW, is also the Japanese voice of Beyblade's Tyson).
If all shojo series were this good...
which reminds me, do you know any other good shojo series like CCS or Princess Tutu? Sailor Moon is just not my thing, Tokyo Mew Mew manga was horrible enough and I'm not so sure about Futari wa Pretty Cure. Oh and don't get me started on Mermaid melody *the horror* D:

lesee! Hmmm... seems like you have my taste in shows, so you'll probably enjoy what I enjoy - if I were you, I'd read clamp's manga Magic knight rayearth (1 and 2, there's two stories). The anime I didn't like because the story changed and.. yeah, read those mangas. I also like the Kodomo no omocha manga - it's a bit long, but cute. Ghost only manga is also cute. Weird but cute. Akuma to Dolce is also cute (manga).
Hmmmm not sure what animes to recomend thu XD off the top of my head. If you like serious stuff, Chrno crusade (BOTH manga and anime) are good, but that's dark and serious. The fact it's a demon and a human girl thu, make me instantly love it.

Thanks, I've been considering the rayearth but clamp's older art style is kinda, I dunno, confusing I guess. And I've seen the last episode of the anime version loong ago so I pretty much know all the main spoilers. But maybe I should give it a try.
I admit, I pick series based on the art and the fact there's some fantasy/mystical in it. As long as it doesn't have anything too serious and absolutely no horror or lots of violence, it's fine by me.
I couldn't find all of those series. Is ghost only also known as ghost stories? If so, I won't try it, I'm just too big of a scaredy cat. And is there alternative title for Akuma? I couldn't find it on wikipedia or anime news network.

Those are some I actualy really liked <3. Chrno might be a bit too dark for you (I admit that I loved the fact a demon was bonded to a human girl and their relationship and stuff, but yeah, has a bit of blood and violence, so it might not be for you). The rest should be okay
Rayearth, the story changes, I recomend the manga, it's reaaaaally good and ends well xD unlike the anime.

Speaking of manga that pwns it's anime version, have you ever seen Angelic layer? It's one of Clamp's works which I was stupid enough to watch first as an anime. After being WTF!? at the final pairings of the anime (not to mention some over sappy "sad" moments which were downright hilarious) I just had to read Angelic layer article from wikipedia which told me that the pairings I would have preferred did indeed happen in the MANGA version. So I ended up spoiling myself completely though I still intent to buy that manga someday. Then again CCS anime is just way better than the manga... Good thing I watched that first.
