Done for ImagineFX Hand Painting workshop. You can find it in Issue 16 (I also made the cover for that one)
My goal was to create a bold mood without adding too much unnecessary detail.
Painted in Photoshop with some help from Painter. Refs for the pendant and marble (you can see it as a custom brush used for the face marks); light and anatomy studies for the character.
Linen done with a custom made brush consisting of a few lines.

dear marta ..refs for pedant and marble ..also photos refs of your hands ..honesty is the best policy..
large version of this shows paintover hands..just say so and don't give the impression your doing hands without references..
for veryfying just post the pencil sketches..please you will improve not relying on paintovers..

I absolutely love it. I enjoy how one of the little spots on her left cheek looks like a ghostly screaming face. My one critique is the positioning of her right hand makes it look like she doesn't have a thumb on that hand; either she was born without one or she's several years out from an amputation.
