The dAhub bot will continue to be down through the end of August. A new dAhub bot (v2.0) will be released in September that will process the backlog of activity and open up new [services]
Details
I have not had an opportunity to update the current bot and will not be able to do so for the next two weeks. The most efficient option is to simply process all activity (including all the backlogged activity) once the dAhub v2.0 bot is operational which should be by mid-September, but likely sooner.
I apologize I will not be able to hold up my promise to get the bot operational this week. All donations will be processed normally once the new bot is operational and a bonus will be added. However, if you have already donated and absolutely need a refund, you may send me a note with the title "Refund" and include the date of when you donated and the number of points donated. I will refund your entire donation if you have not yet been featured, or your remaining feature balance if you were featured when the bot went offline. My time is limited and I will be issuing refunds by hand, so please only ask for a refund if you absolutely need one. All donations currently waiting to be processed that are not refunded by the time dAhub bot v2.0 goes online will be processed normally and a bonus will be applied as an apology for this extended downtime.
Again, all activity (comments, notes, donations) that has accumulated during the past week and during the coming days will be processed normally once the new bot comes online in September.

As a software writer myself, I noticed. But it seems they only changed a few things, for now. Or at least, that's what I saw so far.
I still can't understand why DA doesn't have something for 3rd party developers. It has already brought up several times, but gets rejected every time so far

Well, I'm hopeful that's the case. I wrangled with getting the log-on code working again only to realize they changed the message center too and who knows what else. I'm operating on code I wrote over a year ago before I really understood the structure of dA, so it's not terribly well written and rather hard to edit this late in the game. I have a large technical report I need to finish by the end of this month, so this is really inopportune timing, especially since I was planning to rewrite the bot next month anyway.
Well, perhaps a strong message from the community will spur some change.

Sorry, my bot is closed source for the time being.
Because dA only provides extremely limited developer support (providing access to Sta.sh and nothing else on the site) and because the staff generally "frown upon" bots, there are only a hand full of third-party developers on dA. Most developers focus on bots for the chat network

But in general the programmer community on dA is small compared to other sites with a similar size to dA.

Donations are saved until the bot gets back online (comments, notes, etc are saved too). Everything is effectively in stasis until the bot can be fixed, nothing is being lost. The service you requested will be rendered normally once the bot comes back online, it will just be a few days until that will happen.

I fixed part of it only to realize they made several changes to the site this time (normally it's only one thing at a time), so I don't know how extensive the changes are or how long it will take to fix (I know it affects logging on and the message center, it may affect notes too, and that's all central to the bot's operations). I don't have the time right now to debug everything, so I need to take the bot offline for a while until I have time to fix it. This problem could be mitigated if the staff communicated with third-party developers.
