Light
What is it?
Is it life?
Is it love?

Everyone speeks of it
Yet I do not see
Everything is black
Covering up this so called light

I see demons
Servents of the dead
Their eyes
Filled with envy

I hear speek of angels
White beings
That carry you
Through life

What is this light?
Being able to feel warmth
Love,
Protection

I want to be held
To feel this light's warmth
And all I have to do is look inside
Look inside myself

Lies
They are all lies
There is no "true light"
Only darkness

The darkness
That we are born with
Follows us into death
And never sets us free

What is it?
What is it?
I need to know
What is this light?

Is it being able to be free?
To be able to set your own destiny?
And to care
For the ones you love?

This pain goes on
For what seems and eternity
Until one day
I am lifted from that darkness

And carried away
To Belive
But until that day
I still reside in this darkness
