Description ☆ Tac (タック) is a very rare Helper from Kirby Super Star, possessing the "Copy" Ability. Not to be redundant, but the Copy copy ability copies other copy abilities, making it quite a puzzling inclusion to the game. It's interesting that Tac functions completely differently between his Helper and basic enemy forms. If you're playing as Kirby and have an Ability equipped, watch out for enemy Tacs on the battlefield who will steal your copy ability with a swipe of their hand, and then hightail it outta there like lightning. Fate is even crueler to you if you're Player 2 controlling another Helper- Tac will often sneak up from the shadows and snatch you away! Talk about kid-napping; luckily, Kirby can retrieve his stolen Ability or trusty Helper by chasing after and defeating the crafty bandit. If Kirby inhales Tac and copies his ability, he gains a futuristic visor that enables him to scan other enemies and... copy their abilities. Sure, it's like adding an unnecessary step, but at least it lets you obtain Crash from Scarfy (who's normally resists inhaling). Playing as Tac is a whole 'nother ball game, as it permits Player 2 to essentially play as Kirby by using Tac's powers to copy enemies, play as THEM, and then discard 'em at will, reverting back to Tac. In fact, Tac's actually better than Kirby in every conceivable way because, not only does using Copy Ability completely refill his health bar (not for Kirby), but he has a sweet guard that completely obscures Tac from damage. It's the next best thing to using Stone's transformation. Even better, is that in Kirby Super Star Ultra, the Helper returns with a new attack that can be charged up to punch enemies, if one wishes to remain a Tac.

☆☆ Tac is one of the most brilliantly-designed characters in the Kirby series, in my opinion. Y'all know I'm biased, tho. The concept of a "cat burglar" is rendered in full effect with Tac's feline-esque face and ears cloaked in the dark robes of a "dorobo-neko" (robber) tied under his nose. He even carries a green sack with a white vine pattern, exactly like the archetypal thiefs of Japanese culture. Icing on the cultural cake comes in the form of two zori sandals held firmly between the toes of Tac's feet. However, that's not all to Tac's cleverness. He also embodies the term "copy cat" based again on his cat-tastic appearance and the Copy Ability he flaunts, not to mention his name, TAC, which is a reflection of the word, CAT. Tac just has an overall interesting personality about him, unlike the other more modest Helpers. His idle stance has him looking over the shoulder and back, like he's always on the lookout for the police. His walk cycle is precious in how he tiptoes with paws held close to his body. And even his charging animation is interesting, with Tac bringing his fingers to his forehead like a ninja before unleashing the Copy fist. Another interesting trait, this time of the enemy Tac, is after he has stolen an Ability and ran off, and has been chased to a deadend wall with no outlet for escape, he will suddenly shoot up into the air as if propelled by a rocket, ensuring a safe retreat. Why he does this, I don't know, but that Tac is full of surprises~

☆☆☆ Tac is my favorite Helper of them all. I know I might have said others were my favorites before, but Tac truly is my absolute fav, fo' reals. Given his versatility in playstyle, awesome Asian design, and many benefits over the titular pink puff, himself, I often wonder why Tac is so rare in the games, and not elevated to such status as permanent Player 2, or at least to the level of Dream Land 3's Gooey. Tac could totally make for the perfect sidekick to Kirby, one who's able to utilize the ancient art of the Copy and become any number of playable enemy characters on the field, all while complementing Kirby's traditional Copy Ability and serving for a fair balance in co-op play. Along with playable versions of King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandanna Dee, Tac would fit right in without having to result to multi-colored Kirby clones. I don't like having other Kirbies as PCs aside from the original pink Kirby- it just seems lazy to me, and it makes no sense canonically. Only in Amazing Mirror did splitting Kirby up like that make any sense (maybe also in Air Ride and other spin off multiplayer games with no story) otherwise, I would demand HAL incorporate my favorite cat burglar character into the cast, and promote Tac to playable pal to Kirby and friends. Since Bandanna Dee is spending more and more time as Kirby's best friend- instead of the King's- in the most recent games, and as alluded to in Spring Breeze's opening sequence, give Dedede a true criminal companion in the Anti-Kirby TAC! Make it happen, Nintendo! Daimyo out~!

And of course, in Kirby Air Ride, TAC will also rocket away after their event is over.
Kirby, Gooey, TAC, and... we need another character for player 4. Eh, maybe we'll just borrow Toad from Mario.
