...Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.
Thanks, thanksAlot for helping us remembering this so delightful story with your delightful pic.
SeeYa!

I have to learn to paint just like this! I love this!!!
This is how I always imagined the hobbit hole to be, and I wish I were a hobbit like Bilbo Baggins with my own cozy Hobbit hole in a fantasy world ^^

Wow its just like so awesome, got to be the best Tolkien-inspired illustration I've ever seen)
Watched for 10 minutes to find all the details)
P.s. didn't quiet understand shadows from the fence at the bottom near nameplate.

Gosh dang. The level of detail in this is just stunning, and it immediately brings me right there into the series. I am in love.

I think what I love the most about this is the contrast. It's a naturally light picture, and it would have been all too easy to make everything light and wash it all out, but you weren't afraid to go dark when you needed to. It just makes everything pop just a little more and shows off all of the lovely details!

Brilliant composition, and excellent use of various shades of color. I really get the feel of the lush, verdant landscape of the Shire.

The brightness of the colors and the technique of the scenery reminds me of miazaki's renditions of nature. I wish I could step into your drawing.

This looks to be inspired by the Hildebrandt version done back in 1976. Though I do like this one more due to the extremely different colors used.

Beautifully matches the peaceful, secluded description of the Shire within Tolkien's series. It's been added to my favorites. I love it!
