So they needed to do something the empress of draconic used to have a powerful sword of blue flame.
That sword was then used to act has a key for the 1st draconic empire temple and the sword hilt his the key, but once open, it can only stay open when the hilt his still in place, to retrive the sword would mean to close again the temple forever.

The blue flame acte has a catalysme to weaken people with evil intention. it slow them down or chasse them away.
The blade it self his not that powerful, even the flames do not cause heat damage, The blue flames if it hit someone it will do dmg to your soul, more then you physical body.

If your soul his weak death can come at a single hit. The blade does cut you down, you will just fall to the ground like a meatbag.
