Description Another decorative letter for that book my friend is writing.
Ah, progress is a two-edged sword. A cloth-dyeing works has been built on the edge of town, and the new, gorgeous colors are in hot demand.
But the loveliest lass in the burg is less than pleased. The dye works is dumping their odd new chemicals into the stream. Sweet Trillabel swims in that stream. And now Sweet Trillabel is having a really bad hair day.
In the book, her hair is supposed to get dyed half-red and half-blue. The author and I hashed it out, and settled on this representation. How DO you indicate red or blue in a black and white drawing?

Ink, Crowquill pen, and I think a brush was involved too.
