I totally forgot to upload this.The full version of the example pose I used for my workshop at animecon (and the tutorial here).
It's far from perfect, but that's pretty normal... considering I made this just 2 days before the deadline XD)

Well... it's not easier.
I just made this example digitally, because I had to include it in a powerpoint... and my sketching process on paper is so light that it's almost invisible when you scan it.
Costs for digital art depend on your equipment. You need a decent computer and a tablet to do so. Prices of that depend on the quality you want.

Wow. You are amazing at this. I'm no critic, and can't do anywhere near as good as that, but if you put more time into your art, not saying you don't already, you could make this an insanely awesome design that could drop anyone's jaw like it did mine right now.

I just do regular drawing with pencil and paper so I'm comfused by the digital art stuff, but I love the way it looks

You think you could do a dynamic pose where the hand is coming towards the viewer? I've tried, and it looks really awkward.

Lovely ! I like the way you play with soft shadows ... maybe the scarf lacks a bit of those shadows though, for now it looks more solid than fabric... The light ball could have also some lights/shadows to make it more spheric ... but I love the colours and lines ... very nice

Great work, nothing wrong with the character, Proportions look good and the pose looks great. maybe add more effect to the clouds or mist, Seems too fluffy. Other then that awesome job

I really like how you use the shading to make the whole form look 3D. I need to study up on that.
Since you asked for critique, I reckon the whole piece would have a more dynamic look if the clouds looked more like they were blowing away, or if the wind picked up his hair a little more. But overall, the pose looks really balanced and natural and the clothes fit the form of the body really well.
