He's Zeragos, a young arcane dragon. Mednaior, a night elf priest found him when he was merely an egg. He healed it, so a young dragon could hatch soon enough. Yet the elf already had a dragon, so Zeragos decided to move on and explore the world. After some time, he returns, but he can't take a human form, due to the damage to his egg.
