Description So, a while back I started this and I've been poking at it for the last year.
This is a disguise design for my pokemon trainer oc Acel (the adult version later in the story). Reasons I won't say just yet.

Anywho, originally I was going to take inspiration from Wolf's Rain's Darcia, duskull, and marshadow. But I chose against it after seeing the The Rise of Darkrai movie. Darkrai's character in the movie fit the bill more than marshadow ever could. Considering, Acel as Ohan is a villain-looking character who also plays the hero. He may look intimidating, but he risks his life enough times for others.... and for revenge. I had a lot of fun putting this design together, maintaining a stereotype vampire outfit was amusing.

However, for this new design, my inspiration came from not only Darkrai and Duskull, but also The Phantom of the Opera....because...well... Darkrai's theme song reminded me of it. I looked at different outfit concepts and enjoyed Gerard Butler's version the most.

Acel loves ghost, dark, and dragon types. He's also very artistic. His Zoroark Mahima was designed to be a bit OP, however it came at a price. She is disabled and she's illegal to use in battle. She's missing one of her arms (tragic backstory). So, Acel is her caretaker and she doesn't count towards the six pokemon carry limit. Her illusion abilities far exceed that of the norm. She is capable of, not only changing scenery, but the appearance of anyone she chooses. In this, she uses it to help Acel escape Team Void.

For the design itself, I wanted something basic and not something crazy. Something functional.

In all honesty, I think Pokemon Project Zatoma will almost be just as dark as the official manga.

This was first drawn on paper and then I quickly colored the temp sheet digitally. I'm hoping on making a full ref at some point. Half bodies are boring.

I'm also kinda in the process of redesigning Acel. I'm still not content. Still enjoy the old arts though
