I've been doing a little sketching here and there lately, and a couple of nights ago, I decided to revisit one of my earliest characters, Mai, and give her a fresh new look.

I attempted to give her hairstyle a more modern Japanese look (I'm not sure if it looks right, though ), but kept the "peekaboo" look of her bangs covering her left eye. I'm debating whether to make hair color a more brown-red shade, although I did like her redhead look.

Looking at this again, Mai looks a bit more mature here, even that wasn't my intention while I was sketching this (she's still in her early 20s, and still in college).

Oh, and that's supposed to be a flashlight Mai is holding in her right hand.

Anyway, hope you like Mai's possible new look. Please let me know in the comments section what guys think.
