Description still playing with painter 9, did a study of one of my favorite sargent paintings. hope to someday do a full size copy but for now this was pretty fun

actually this was all done with the palette knife tool. which is kind ironic because it's a tool i don't know the first thing about using in real life.

i do like the effects i get but every thing is still to smooth for my taste. the original Fumee d'Ambre Gris [link] has some great textures under the paint that i can't get with painter. but it's still alot of fun
