Indeed. Here's what would happen if the Locust popped up on a UNSC planet/colony:
1: Deploy Marine task force, with vehicle support. Begin planet-wide/colony-wide evacuation as a precaution.
2: If Step 1 doesn't work, deploy another task force, with Spartans.
3: If THAT doesn't work, evacuate all UNSC forces, resources/equipment, remaining civilians, etc., then start nuclear/orbital bombardment.
4: As a last resort, use a Nova Bomb.
