Description Well, another try at something different for me. Drawing armors and mechanical looking stuff is hard for Dan >>

anyway, on the top half we have the Corruption Hunters, on the lower half the Alimbic Hunters.

L to R
Samus, Gandrayda, Ghor
Prime, Rhundas
Sylux, Weavel, Kanden
Noxus, Spire, Trace.

These are the guys I'm thinking of putting in a Halo Metroid crossover, but I think having the 10 (sans Dark Samus) could be a bit overkill in the Haloverse XD;;;;

Samus: Deadliest woman in the known galaxy. A career way too long to describe. Suffice to know, planets tend to explode when she's in the neighborhood.
Gandrayda: A shapeshifter, psychological studies say she is a teenager. A very dangerous one. She likes Sammy X3
Ghor: Veteran of the wars in Wotan VI. Only 6% of his birth body remain, the rest is state of the art cybernetics. Rides a huge armor suit, by far the biggest among the hunters, but he prefers to deal with computers and AI's.
Prime: aka Metroid Prime, aka Dark Samus, aka Goddess. Think of Samus, but overpowered, waaaaaayyy overpowered.
Rhundas: Think of the Predators; likes hunting, keeps trophies of his bounties, and is twice as big than most of the other hunters.
Sylux: Human... probably. Stole a prototype the GF was developing trying to imitate Samus armor. Stone cold killer. Likes to tear GF troopers apart with his own hands.
Weavel: A Space pirate general who fought Samus. Samus left only most of his brain and a chunk of spinal cord intact. Reconstructed, he's a badass. I mean, he has a mini nuclear reactor for weapon.
Kanden: The perfect soldier. Powerful, intelligent, and totally unpredictable. Oh yeah, and insane. Yep, insane.
Noxus: A monk who believes in justice and good... yeh, he's the odd one in this group.
Spire: A silicon based creature. Dunno what to say about him, other than he can swim through lava.
Trace: a teenager Kriken, an insect like horde. Primitive traditions, but advanced enough to give him equipment that turns him invisible, and an energy based sniper riffle and a galactic travel ship.

I took some liberties with some of them, like Gandrayda (gave her an outfit like those of the GF), Samus (Helmetless, of course) and Prime (similar to sammy, but with the corruption scars you see later in the game). The rest... well, I have only a few references of each of these guys, and I couldn't put on Corruption to check the logbooks.

yeh, so that's all. I think it was good for a single day's work X3 I still suck at drawing armors and cybernetic looking stuff, but it's a start

For the Halo fans, if I ever start that crossover project, think I should use as many spartans as possible, or only the ones alive after Onyx?

Characters belong to Nintendo!

Here are some videos with these guys. There are spoilers in the second one:

WHOA AWESOME work dude.

Especially Sylux (its weird though, he always looks kinda goofy close up) and Spire. Ganny and Dark Sammy look do-able, but I wouldn't try it any time soon.

I did, I never said it wasn't human based.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

dan-heron In reply to hotterface [2008-04-11 17:33:26 +0000 UTC]

"What I meant to say is that dark samus was never shown to be human. That's all that bothered me, but it's still good."

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

hotterface In reply to dan-heron [2008-04-11 22:27:55 +0000 UTC]

Shown to be human, not the same as human based. Based is the key word.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

dan-heron In reply to hotterface [2008-04-11 22:31:47 +0000 UTC]

so the fact they clearly state she has HUMAN dna means nothing. I see

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

hotterface In reply to dan-heron [2008-04-11 22:40:34 +0000 UTC]

You just brought a completely different factor in, which I wasn't arguing about. I was arguing physical build and appearance. Which is based off of a human, but not like a normal human, because Dark Samus isn't human. It is another species entirely, because she is a metroid + phazon + a bit of DNA. Humans don't have genetic traits that metroids do which is enough to make it it's own species.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

dan-heron In reply to hotterface [2008-04-11 22:59:45 +0000 UTC]

so is Samus, which is the source for Dark Samus. There's no other way around

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

hotterface In reply to dan-heron [2008-04-12 00:12:23 +0000 UTC]

Okay thanks for finally agreeing.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

dan-heron In reply to hotterface [2008-04-12 00:28:02 +0000 UTC]

you said it didn't look human, then said it looked human, then said it had no reaason to look human, then said it was a mix gene pool, then you said we are agreeing?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

hotterface In reply to dan-heron [2008-04-12 01:02:02 +0000 UTC]

"you said it didn't look human, then said it looked human based, then said it had no reaason to look human, then said it was a mix gene pool, then you said we are agreeing?"

Fixed it slightly, and I don't remember saying it had no reason to look human. Anyway you brought up something that had nothing to do with what we where talking about again. Samus is genetically different but mostly human in appearance. So in the appearance category she is human, genetics would be a no. I was talking about NORMAL HUMANS which excludes samus. I wasn't comparing Samus and Dark Samus, rather Dark Samus and how very little she resembles a human. That is all visual, no genetics and even with them Dark Samus isn't comparable to a NORMAL HUMAN. So by bringing up the whole Samus and Dark Samus are the same or whatever because Samus has mixed genes. You just prove my point by comparing Dark Samus (not genetically human) to Samus (also not genetically human).

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

dan-heron In reply to hotterface [2008-04-12 19:46:59 +0000 UTC]

why would you talk about NORMAL HUMANS when we are talking about these two? Hey, I know, let's talk about Sonic! He's blue, and Phazon is blue. Makes perfect sense.

And THAT was my point! seriously, are you reading what you want to read or something?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

hotterface In reply to dan-heron [2008-04-13 13:03:19 +0000 UTC]

Well first you are the one who brought up the whole Dark Samus has lungs, a spine, and all types of organs. Most of which she doesn't have. So then I agreed that it was human based, then that argument came up. So no I wasn't reading what I wanted to, you just can't keep an argument going. A suggestion next time, STAY ON TOPIC.

Oh and have you played echoes?

Anyway nice artwork regardless.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

dan-heron In reply to hotterface [2008-04-13 21:44:17 +0000 UTC]

oh, let me guess, I didn't? May, how could I comment about something I don't know about?

my bad.

Ok, saying she doesn't have those organs is the same than saying she doesn't have a skull. can't do. It clearly shows said parts. Of course, you can say she was just trying to make it look like she does have these parts, but I can't see the logic in that.

and there wasn't an argument. I said I didn't understand what you meant to say, as everybody but Gandrayda have an armor, and then you started to say how wrong I was. A suggestion, don't attack people just because you think you're right.

and please, can you be more patronizing?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

hotterface In reply to dan-heron [2008-04-13 23:15:25 +0000 UTC]

All but 4 have armor, the others are organic or not associated with metal. I disagreed about it having human organs, and human skull.

I never wanted an argument either, I just said that the dark samus one would have looked better to me with the skull.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

dan-heron In reply to hotterface [2008-04-13 23:25:09 +0000 UTC]

the fact they doesn't look like metal doesn't mean they aren't armors. Heck, even Spire has an armor over his body, which is the yellow quartz like spikes. The scans even say the rock is actually a ram used in the dialanche mode, same with Trace. It specifies it's an armor. The only one without armor is Gandrayda, and we could say maybe Kanden doesn't have an armor outside the helmet, breastplate and the protections on the limbs.

But why the skull? It's supposed to be a stable form of DSamus, and the one that was transparent was so unstable you could see through her. Not to mention the one I used is the Corruption armor which wouldn't have made sense with the skull thing

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

hotterface In reply to dan-heron [2008-04-14 01:10:53 +0000 UTC]

You also said mechanical looking stuff, remember?

The fact that the skull was under her helmet makes sense enough. You took off Dark Samus's helmet revealing a human head, or Samus's with alterations. Now back to the skull, you could have used that instead because it was shown to be under her helmet. The skull is cannon, the human head is not, in any way.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

dan-heron In reply to hotterface [2008-04-14 01:24:40 +0000 UTC]

armors AND mechanical stuff.

and it's only canon in the previous version of Dark Samus. This one isn't shown

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

hotterface In reply to dan-heron [2008-04-14 01:40:21 +0000 UTC]

Yeah but it would probably be more likely to appear again rather than a human head.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

dan-heron In reply to hotterface [2008-04-14 01:46:44 +0000 UTC]

only if she had been running out of phazon, but since she practically found a never ending source of it almost immediately after Echoes, that doesn't seem likely

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

hotterface In reply to dan-heron [2008-04-14 01:53:11 +0000 UTC]

I remember her being unstable because she had absorbed so much phazon. That is why she had to release the phazon during the fight.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

dan-heron In reply to hotterface [2008-04-14 01:58:49 +0000 UTC]

oh yeh, you're right. well, seems she learned to handle the pressure then by Corruption

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

hotterface In reply to dan-heron [2008-04-14 21:56:08 +0000 UTC]

or she may not need to power herself since she found a whole planet of phazon. Who is to say. Anyway sorry about getting in that bit of on argument

I think you should use the spartans in onyx. To make things more intresting, add a Flood character, that would be extremly wierd... o.0

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

dan-heron In reply to warrior297 [2008-04-08 02:30:21 +0000 UTC]

that'd be a bit too obvious

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Obvious about what? The spartans?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

dan-heron In reply to warrior297 [2008-04-09 18:52:37 +0000 UTC]

no, about the totally cliche and totally pointless idea of making a flood "character". Wait, I know, we can make a legkolo character, but no, not a group of them like a Hunter or Scarab, no, a single worm character.

see how stupid that sounds?
