Description
Time to look at literally an Old Bird. This is the Model 10 Electra Airliner manufactured by the defunct Lockheed Corporation in the 1930s, I take back the defunct part about Lockheed seeing as how they were merged with Martin Marietta to form Lockheed Martin.
This Plane can carry a crew of 2 Pilot and 10 Passengers, it's powered by 2 Pratt and Whitney 985 Wasp Junior SB 450 hp 9 cylinder Radial Piston Engines.
As well as Civilian operators such as Airlines and Private Liners the Electra saw Service with the Military including branches such as the RAF (Royal Air Force), USAAF (United States Army Air Force), USN (United States Navy) and USCG (United States Coast Guard).
