i'm running to stop the clockto pause the time
over a mountain
over a hill
what's the difference?
i'm running from my house
to yours.
my body and mind scream
and begin to work as one
but this goes as every nightmare goes
i can't run fast enough.
through the green and the red
through the night
the stars guide me
but i'm not fast enough
i can't catch up
i can't save you.
images fill my head
of you tightening the cords
you want to go on the scariest ride yet
and i want to stop you
from leaving forever.
over the mountain i go
i'm pushing so hard
over another hill
and there's your home
your parents don't suspect a thing
it was always your plan.
i bang on the door,
and run right in
i run up to your room
up the stairs, one by one
i count as they flow beneath my feet
one. two. three. four.

time is going by fast.
i run into your room
tripping over objects unknown
i open your closet door
and rush inside.
you're hanging there
with no breath left
i can't take you down
the cords are too tight
i kiss you to give you air
i look into your eyes
without moving away just yet....
and you're dead.
