Yes, it is what you think it is. None other than Marilyn Monroe in zombie form. I've been wanting to do this for awhile and had just never gotten around to it, but since October 23 is my mom's birthday and Marilyn Monroe is her favorite person, I thought, "Why not combine a few horrow movies with the 50's?"
So as you can see, that's what I did. There are so many Marilyn pictures on Deviant that are always beautifully sketched in grayscale, or grayscale with a hint of color to her lips or her eyes. I only came across two or three 'Zombie Marilyn's', but they were too sketchy, or they weren't colored. I wanted to combine my love of zombie movies with a famous actress, but hopefully for most of you fans, the 'dead' part is taken lightly.
I tried to aim for the more, retro/technicolor style here. Kind of pin-upish with a hint of blood. Well, okay, A LOT of blood. I couldn't help myself. :]. My picture reference was taken out of a Marilyn Biography book, and the picture itself was one of her younger photos, so that's why her hair is a bit longer than usual. I hope you like!
