Graphic arts major Alyssa Fontaine and her girlfriend Dawn wear full face respirators so they don't breathe the extensive fumes from Alyssa's painting project. "Did you sneak in here to help?" laughs Alyssa. "Of course not!" says Dawn. "I'm just here for moral support. It's so much more fun watching you do all the work!"

NOTES: I have to say I'm feeling pretty good lately. I have discovered a coloring style/saturation that I really like (basically I paint my colors in at about 45% transparency, then I make another copy of that color layer, paste it in underneath and mess with the sliders until they seem to blend right, which produces a color look that is neither too bold nor too weak), and I have found that strengthening my sketch art with thin feathery ink lines produces an effect that really pleases me, without leaving me feeling incompetent or cramped up with wrist and finger pain. This is a slightly older piece that I resurrected and fixed up. Imagine how good I could be at this is I could actually manage to DRAW HANDS RIGHT.
