As you can see based on the photos I post here, I like public transportation. I really like it for some reason ever since I was a little child. I also find the small scale of counterparts of big things very cool (which is strange if I consider the fact that I'm not a fan of micro/macro stuff), so model railways, which are public transport systems in small scale always piqued my interest. While model trains are quite expensive to me (though I do want to buy those when I will live on my own AND have enough money for it), there are also bus models which are usually nearly not as expensive as train due to being smaller and not having actual engines, so I started collecting these instead.
I prefer 1/87 (H0) scale, there is a quite huge variety when it comes to brands. I currently have 28 models in this scale. I bought the first one in 2019, it was a yellow Mercedes Citaro which was not only wearing the livery of a Hungarian transportation company, but it's display also showed a line which is running in my hometown. My friend found an Austrian website which had a huge variety of these scale models back in December 2021 which sparked my interest even more, so in the past 2 years my collection expanded quite quickly. I already had my first purchase in 2024, I bought a double-decker MAN Lion's City and 2 Setra coaches, but I won't plan to buy too many this year, because I will need money for my trip to Prague which will be in August
