yes, this is a real tattoo. that was debated in the comments so i figured i would clear it up here.this is on a client of mine named David. took 3 sittings if i remember correctly. in this photo, it is pretty much healed except for the whites and some final details in some darks. this is also his first tattoo. as you can imagine, he is a huge spiderman fan.

and now he has this kick-butt tattoo but it wil represent some horrible movie...

wow.. not a spidey fan myself but looking beyond that... the detail in the flesh ripping is incredible.. at first glance it really looks like the spidey symbol was inbedded under the skin.. second look it still looks that way! my compliments to the tattoo artist.. very very awesome work!

this tattoo was not only the discussion on this thread, it is also a discussion in many tattoo shops. i have worked in 2 shops within the past couple of years and both of them knew of this tat and showed it to people. today is the first day i have found its creator..you! if you google "spiderman tattoo" this is like the first 5 things that comes up. congrats on worldwide infamay.
