yes, this is a real tattoo. that was debated in the comments so i figured i would clear it up here.this is on a client of mine named David. took 3 sittings if i remember correctly. in this photo, it is pretty much healed except for the whites and some final details in some darks. this is also his first tattoo. as you can imagine, he is a huge spiderman fan.

Freakin awesome tattoo! I was wanting to become a tattooist but was told that it takes alot of patience because you have to go through apprenticeship and work day and night on commissions plus your back goes... Honestly though, its the price to pay for someone to wear your artwork for years... I'd totally do it!

How do tattoo artists learn about all the shading? As it really brings it alive. From a simple transfer and line drawing to something that really pops.

If it's pretty muc hhealed, why is it so pink and fresh looking? The skin around it, still looks like fresh ink.
