Years ago I started a series called "Simple Life".
I thought I would never continue but I'm feeling so inspired to dream about a "simple life" again,
maybe it's just "big city issues" that leads me to wish another kind of life, a free life!

the tecnique to use some reference like in this case, the statue is a great tec. as you know, used by mattepainters...but most of them don't writes the references and above all i hate when they use photos...then..painting a bit over and then writes "painting or mattepainting" arggggg 
apart all this.
You did a beautiful work on the statue, applying even a good fabric.
Luck those 2 rabbits are on the right, because the little cat was ready to kill them with the apples

I know exactly what you mean, sometimes I find these fakes "drawings & paintings" jobs. I see no problem when artists uses poses, photos, models references to draw and paint their art, but they don't need to lie about it.
I'm glad you liked the art, here I tried to use more stocks than usual and although working with a statue I wanted to feature the entire scene not only "a manipulated statue at the center and main focus", it took me 3 days work. The dark tones was something that came in mind before add all elements because to this kind of scene the artists usually would enjoy to add a sunny bg or a blue sky with fluffy clouds, then, adding a "blinding light" coming from behind (as I did several times!!!) and blah, blah, blah... but it's time to make it different! Thank you so much for your - always - valuable comments on my pieces!
