The first impact has been very magical and this means the work has been successfu! This thanks the cool frame created with trees and the contrast between dark and light! The tones used are really wonderful and complete the scene perfectly! The floating circle is a bit distracting but the circle on the ground is really beautiful! the two giant crows probably too giants.....because they distract the attention from the cool mage....i really like a lot the work on the mage!
and before close the work, i saw the shape of the dark tree monster -----> This thanks the natural eye (a threatening eye ) and if you pay attention you can see the complete his shape haha the head, eye, arm/hand and body....and he looks hidden back the tree. but probably im tired and i see this 
To conclude a little precious magical work (little because the size is tiny)

I'm glad you liked, thank you! Since last week I've tried 2 other different sceneries after I finished working on the wizard, but none of them made me satisfied. After I finished the 1st idea, I went to sleep, on the other day I decided to delete all the scenery, was too simple. On the other day I tried a 2nd scenery, went to sleep and on the next day I decided deleting the scenery again, the 2nd idea was "non sense"! Two days ago I started this new one and I liked the scenery and decided to invest my time on this.

and it paid of this one is great,i know what you mean when i draw i have one thing in mind but by the time ive got a rough sketch down its turned into somrthing completely different that or the white left on page is tainted with the constant movement of my hand across the page. sometimes i think you have to sleep on it to realise what you did isnt what you wanted to do, looking with fresh eyes kind of thing
