Description Well, i made another recast/cast meme with the musical "The Prom"

For the ones who doesn't know it yet, it's a modern musical that was premiere in Atlanta on 2016 and officially in broadway in 2018 and ended in August 2019 and also the musical being adapted into a movie on Netflix. And yes it became one of my favorite modern musicals and also one of my favorite underrated ones.

The careers of four eccentric Broadway stars are struggling and they desperately need a new stage upon which to shine bright once more. Seeking out a cause, they head straight to small-town Indiana. Through social media, they have heard of trouble brewing around a school prom. Local girl, Emma Nolan, wants to take her girlfriend to prom but the homophobic PTA are on a mission to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow. Determined to transform lives and put themselves back in the limelight, the Broadway celebrities muscle in to change the town and give Emma the prom she deserves.

So here are the Characters (Spoilers if you didn't see the musical or the movie yet)

Emma Nolan - One of the main characters of the musical, she's a seventeen year old lesbian who becomes an outcast and an outline when the PTA cancels the school prom rather than let her attend with her girlfriend. Eventually Emma gets a little help from the four actors to get her into the night she would never forget, but  after being tricked into attending a separate prom alone and then having a panicking Alyssa refuse to come out, she all but completely shuts down. It takes a pep talk from Angie to get her head back into the goal, at the end Emma got back with Alyssa and finally have their prom night they always wanted to have.

Barry Glickman - A narcissistic Broadway actor who takes Emma under his wing. Starts off as kind of a self-centred jerk but Emma brings out his heart of gold pretty quickly. Like Emma, his parents also reject him for being gay and haven't spoke to them for 30 years (21 years in the movie), but eventually he reconcile with his mother but not yet with his father. he also like an funny uncle to Emma.

Dee Dee Allen - A diva in desperate need of good press. after the big floop of Eleanor the musical, she felt like no one would ever like her, when she and the rest found out about Emma and prom it would be the chance fr them to back in fame, but eventually her plan went down hill when the prom where removed to another place and have a fake prom for Emma, but she finally decided to do the right thing once she starts listening to others, she becomes a whole lot nicer and less selfish.

Angie Dickinson - A Chigago showgirl who has never been allowed to play Roxie Hart despite being in the chorus for twenty years. After poor Emma got the worst Prom of her life, she tried to finally get Emma's conferences and hope back, at the end she finally had her dream role as Roxie Hart. Angie acts like a mother figure to Emma.

Trent Oliver - A Julliard graduate – and, in the film, former sitcom star – who has fallen on hard times. after Emma's classmates tricked her and Alyssa after finding out they were dating, Trent eventually got four of them changed the way they threathing Emma, he acts like a mentor and father figure to the students.

Alyssa Greene - Emma's closeted girlfriend and the daughter of the head of the PTA. She fears if she ever reveal her sexuality to her mother or her classmates, she might not accepted, but when two of her cheerleader mates (Kaylee and Shelby) saw her with Emma, they both lied to her about the prom being in some place else instead, but Emma broke up with her after that even, but at the end they both came back together, finally she conferenced her mother that she's gay, and finally have her prom with Emma. Alyssa doesn't like how her mother wants her to be successful in life. for unknown reasons her father abandoned her and her mother at some point prior to the events of the show as she mentioned in one part of the song Alyssa Green "Cause mom's convinced if you're perfect, your father might come back...".

Mr. Tom Hawkins - The principal of James Madison High School. He's on Emma's side and vows to help fight her injustice. he's a huge fan of both Broadway and Dee Dee in particular, but he saw Dee Dee's true self after found out the reason why she wanted to help Emma, but he gave her a second chance to be a good person and accepted the idea of doing the exclusive prom for Emma and the LBGT couples, at the end he and Dee Dee became a couple.

Mrs. Greene - The musical's antagonist and Alyssa's strict, overbearing mother and the head of the PTA. she was termed to cancel the prom if Emma was taking her mysterious girlfriend to it. she always tried her best for her daughter not having a hard life, even if the reality is very different. Despite spending most of the play/film being antagonistic, she ends up accepting Alyssa and Emma's relationship at the end.

Sheldon Saperstein - Dee Dee's (and possibly Barry's) PR manager. He manages to organize a lot of opportunities for the other characters, although they don't always work out.

The Popular kids

Kaylee and Shelby - Two popular girls and cheerleaders

Nick and Kevin - Two jocks and Kaylee and Shelby's boyfriends (Nick is Shelby's boyfriend and Kevin is Kaylee's Boyfriend)

They all blamed Emma for the prom almost being banned and also mistreated her for being a lesbian, but the prom was back on. But they trick both Emma and Alyssa, with Emma being sent to a fake prom by herself and Alyssa being completely left out of the loop. They leave Alyssa out of the planning because Kaylee and Shelby discover her relationship with Emma and decide to intervene. afterwards Trent finally let them see their mistakes and apologized to Emma for their terrible actions and were invite to the Exclusive Prom.

Other characters (Not in the picture)

Vera Glickman - Barry's mother

Grandma Bea - Emma's supportive grandmother who raised Emma when her parents kicked her out of their house.

At somepoint, you can do genderbent version if you want to.

Don't forget to credit me.
