Hey guys just had to do a quick change of clothes, but when I got back I had been asked a great questionThe question was “how is being pinned or submitted different than being knocked out in a boxing match?”
Now seeing as i have been in all these positions, I’ve knocked people out, been knocked out, pinned, made someone tap, I have been pinned, and I have been submitted. The best I can describe it is when you’re boxing you’re only worried about the person in front of you, you are on guard and only for that person. So in a heat of a boxing match a punch as simple as a jab can shut your lights off. I remember my first ever win was against a lady, and she was swinging out of control, I hit her with a quick jab and boom that was it. But with the question being knocked out isn’t actually that scary, honestly your brain Just shuts off (unless it’s a nasty body shot which I’ve succumb to before) and the next thing you know you’re being lifted by your trainers. There’s no much to it
But being pinned is different… I’ll use my 2 out of 3 match with Zelda as an example, the match started and it felt great I was dominating and even pinned her, but as soon as she got up to continue the match, she started toying with me, attacking my ribs, attacking my body and forcing me on the defensive… and that’s the worst part about wrestling, you are aware of the punishment you take… even when you are out of it. So she had pinned me and I couldn’t move… it’s a weird feeling your body not wanting to continue… but that’s what it’s like… your body or mind just failing you
Hope that answers your question
