So I watched all of Demon Slayer and then read the manga because I enjoyed it so much!! Inosuke is definitely my favorite character because he's a feral dumbass AND a pretty boy bastard which happen to be my 2 favorite character types.
Coincidentally I also have a very real fear of wild boars. They're an invasive species that breeds at an incredible rate, they are aggressive and have the power to take down much larger creatures (even though they aren't technically predators) and they will eat everything, even bones!! So if I'm caught in the wild with a boar and it kills me, no one would ever now...

ANYWAYS the point of all that was to say I think boars are pretty demonic creatures already, so it wasn't a stretch to imagine a boar demon spawning from poor Inosuke's desire to be the most powerful and win any fight. Also, if he headbutted you with those tusks, you would not survive...

For the more technical stuff, I had a lot of fun with this piece, but I struggled with working on it for long periods of time. Digital painting is fun but I can get discouraged during the process when I see all the parts that still need to be rendered. I thought it would be helpful for my dumb brain to see a recorded process so I can better understand my own process, and hopefully that will keep the next painting process be more active and focused. And for the speedpaint, I hope you all enjoy it too!
