"Yeah, you're a freak. A misfit. A reject.

"Just like me."

I wish we could all feel loved and accepted. It’s a human need, and it goes unmet so often, resulting in most of the problems in the world.

I’ve often felt cast aside by others. Treated like I’m invisible at best, and a freak at worst. I’ve spent a lifetime trying to fit in, and failing more often than I succeed.

I created this piece to capture that sense of feeling wretched and unwanted, to both inspire fear and be fearful yourself. It’s the idea of spending so much time on the outside, that you begin to believe all the horrible things they say about you.

If any of this resonates with you, the only comfort I can offer you is that you’re not alone.
