Liu Trafolden, The Threefold in English, represents the essence of three equal parts.

The embodiment of Liu Trafolden manifests in the union of the Shalores Hidesine-Podeshire, which consists of three distinct people: Oliver Podeshire (centre), Josephine Shalores (right), and Gregory Hidesine (left). Oliver, Josephine, and Gregory are the three parents of Jean Adrien Shalores Hidesine-Podeshire and his siblings, Victoria, Elizabeth, Albert Jr (Bertie), and George.

Liu Trafolden initially started as a duo union on the 20th of December, 1825, between Oliver Podeshire and Gregory Hidesine. In late April 1829, the two men took the Hidesine-Podeshire children (Jean, Victoria, Elizabeth, Albert Jr (Bertie), and George) as their own and raised them. In 1841, Josephine Shalores, the biological mother of Jean Adrien Shalores Hidesine-Podeshire, was welcomed into the family by Oliver Podeshire. Henceforth, they stood as the three pillars for their children, raising them together and "nurturing them" until their deaths.

The story of the three parents who raised the Shalores Hidesine-Podeshire children concluded at the start of the 20th century when the last surviving member of the trio, Oliver Podeshire, died on October 6, 1906.
