Description
Foreigners rarely come here, and when they do, they’re not necessarily greeted with a smile. Still, Mul’Domar is generally open to outsiders. It is the capital of Domari and home of King Girrae VI of Domari. He is not seen often though, mainly residing in the Royal Palace.
The city was designed by the first dwarves when they came to the Domart Mountains. They tunneled a way into the mountains at the place where the main gate is today. From there they found a large cave. Large enough to fit a city. And a city is what they build.
Large pillars, with carving showing the history of the city, support the ceiling. The circular street system is laid out in front of the Royal Palace. Along the streets are stone buildings. Each building is build according to ancient dwarves design. Even simple houses seem to be works of art to outsiders.
The Royal palace is a large structure that, from the front, seems to be build into the cave wall. However, behind the palace in another clearing with a pathway leading into the Undercity of Ml’Domar. This pathway is entirely unknown to the outside world.
Recently, the king has opened the gates and is more likely to welcome outsiders. In particular he is looking to find a group of brave adventurers.
There are dangers, creatures in the Undercity that the dwarves can not defeat on their own. Many dwarves have fled from the mines to take shelter in the upper city.
However, before the king would share the secret of the dwarves kingdom under the mountains, the heroes would need to prove themselves worthy.
Offer your players a nice city where they won’t be welcome. At least not at first. And then they’ll discover a whole new level to this kingdom, or in fact, the entire kingdom.
