the clownfish adds a whole layer to the story behind this picture in my mind.
It's like he chose to save the clownfish, so they must have had some kind of friendship. now he lives to protect the clownfish.

I will never be able to capture the magnificence of this piece with words. I mean, where to start? The textures? The concept? The little details on his suit? The clownfish? In all honestly, I'm struck speechless. Therefore, you'll just have to make do with "fucking awesome"

Might I ask you a few technical questions?
I just wonder if you know how many layers you used on this. When I look at it it's hard to tell (as in how I would try) But could seem like maybe few. Made me curious enough to ask.
Also wondered if you used any special tools (like textures, filters and so on) or if it's mostly the brush tool.
I wonder mostly to get an idea for future reference when trying myself. I hope you don't mind answering =^_^=

Fantastic representation and truly original work of art. The detail and lighting is superbly done. Love the detail of the coral on his armour and on the pinkish bubble.
Take that friggen squid! Looks as though the squid/octopus itself is mechanical too. The strange coloured blood and the segmentation are really well done.
Watching the Shark Week must have really paid off, the 'smile' of the shark is spot on and the head shape is just right. Well done +)
