That's right. Doug AND Johnny Test.

Normally, there are people who don't like either show in general, myself included, BUT they weren't always disliked by everyone. You're right, Doug and Johnny Test are two completely different shows, but they do have a similar situation, where people actually liked them when they first came out, but then they were ruined for the fans when moving to another company. Now, there are other shows that would get the same treatment too, even Clone High, who switched from Nelvana to ShadowMachine, despite still being made by MTV. But Doug and Johnny Test do have a similar situation.

Let's start with Doug; created by Jim Jinkins, it was originally made as a Nickelodeon show in 1991 as one of the first original Nicktoons. I've already explained WHY I don't like the show, but I do understand why it has its fans. However, most fans were understandably upset about the Disney version. See, Nickelodeon cancelled the show in 1994 due to being too expensive after four seasons and 52 episodes, even though five seasons and 65 episodes were planned. But due to its high budget, Nickelodeon couldn't continue Doug. So, by 1996, Jim Jinkins sold Jumbo Pictures to Disney, Disney revived Doug for three more seasons, and with much less involvement from Jim Jinkins or Billy West. While a commercial success, it was a critical failure. And we all know about Doug's 1st Movie, something Doug had that Johnny Test didn't (at least yet).

Now, let's do Johnny Test; created by Scott Fellows, who also made Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, and was a writer for the Fairly OddParents, Johnny Test usually garnered more hate than Doug. As I said before in my journal entry about Johnny Test, people like RowdyCMoore, MrEnter, Disco Spider, etc. view it as an unnecessary rip-off of Dexter's Laboratory that managed to ruin animation upon its premiere in 2005, and didn't care about it switching studios. And those who hate Johnny Test as a whole would hate the Netflix reboot by WildBrain (formerly DHX Media). But not everybody hated Johnny Test. Yes, there was a time when Johnny Test was well liked, despite certain people hating on it. When Johnny Test came out in 2005, it didn't represent everything wrong with animation at the time. People like PieGuyRulz, Doknot1999, NICKTendo, A.S.K. Air, and even Pan-Pizza, as I said before, all enjoyed Johnny Test during the first season. But it had to change after season 1 due to budget cuts. After the WB and UPN merged to form the CW, it was the only show affected by budget cuts, and I don't know how. Understandably, season one by Warner Bros. Animation was considered the best that the show could offer. It wouldn't suck until Cookie Jar Entertainment took over; mostly during seasons 4 to 6, because there are people who tolerated seasons 2 to 3. Johnny Test was usually more well known for being one of Cartoon Network's most hated shows, but it actually first aired on Kids' WB! back in 2005.

While I don't like either Doug or Johnny Test, I do understand why fans were upset about the changes.
