A loooong time ago (pre "Spider-Man 3", perhaps even pre "Spider-Man 2") I got to wondering how it might make sense to introduce the Hobgoblin into the Raimi-verse of Spidey flicks, and spent way too much time concocting a story adaptation of the Roderick Kingsley/Lefty Donovan story (minus the fashion industry) wherein Kingsley tries to convince the world that Green Goblin has returned from the grave. Really it was just a ploy to get some type of hood/mask situation going, and get rid of the helmet.
