At first I thought the cat was looking out onto the rain, its shadow not mere shadow and instead displaying expression (in body language). In fact quite a few different ones. (To me.)

But when I looked again I thought the cat was staring back at the photographer, and the expressions changed into entirely new ones.

And then I read you said the cat was looking out overtop the rainy city. I envied it. And wished I could be sitting there, enjoying the view together.

A very interesting photograph! And I love cats. Have taken care of many in my lifetime. They/I have a natural affinity for each other.
