Description The big adorablue made of water with icy skin who gets the most art made but has never had a story or introduction ever finally gets something. It's kinda silly that I've never done it. Regardless here we are... a quickie. With a picture to boot drawn by www.deviantart.com/s-harriet . If ya like sketches, inks, or greyscales go give them a look. Personally I get the inks in case I wanna get someone to color them in later.

Again go check out Harriet (www.deviantart.com/s-harriet )   OR twitter.com/ArtCatS_Harriet (They do be open for more comms BTW.))
Small character introduction, ability description and story is a go.

As he approached the bridge the fiery red headed neko stopped feeling something-was off. His head turned round so that his crimson eyes could see what had caused the feeling. His blue friend was staring at the stream they’d happened upon when coming down from the hill. This wasn’t anything too peculiar for her to do. She had lived in isolation for a very long time. What water she’d seen was all inside a little pond back where he’d found her. Every time they happened upon something like this stream no matter the size she’d curiously investigate for a time. Each time he’d managed to convince her to step away knowing what she’d do. He didn’t yet want anyone seeing her bigger side fearing she’d be incorrectly labeled a monster like the giants that roamed the land that ate people like him.

The blue girl was Rossa, a girl made entirely out of water. In his travels, Hasu had accidentally stumbled upon her home. A place surrounded by dense foliage; trees that wrapped around a tiny pond so thick even he had a hard time squeezing through and so tall no giant had any hope of continuing a pursuit. A small flowery field and in the middle the pond where he’d found her. A circle that was suspiciously perfectly round and far deeper than wide shaped much like a test tube.

Quite shy, but very curious of Hasu, the pair hit it off well. She was a sponge, absorbing any and all knowledge he gave when asking him questions and he loved to share it. It was a struggle at first. Her grammar wasn’t great  and he had to constantly teach her new words, but eventually she talked like a third grader in the third person but was at least understandable. Relieved that she was so friendly. Being an alchemist his potions, his primary defense had no effect on someone made entirely of water.

In return for his tutoring she showed him her prowess. The one she displayed most was changing her size. Unlike certain fairy folk that did it on a whim there was a cost to it. She could take on all the water the pond had to be thirty feet tall, or drain it all from her body to be insignificantly tiny. He believed there wasn’t a limit to this either. Even with her kind nature he shuddered to think what she’d do with an ocean. A fairy could easily be a hundred feet tall… but Rossa could dwarf that and then some if she had the water needed to do it.

Next was her ice. Originally she didn’t control it well. Even with his higher than normal body heat brought on by his own fiery nature Rossa simply touching him threatened to cause him insteneous frostbite with merely a touch. Despite her watery inside she had subzero skin. It was fascinating how she kept the two separate but lacked control. Another large amount of time tutoring her was spent helping her learn control. Eventually she was still cold to the touch, but could joyously give and be given hugs without accidentally killing someone.

Third was her filtration. She actually required sustenance, but the way she got it was basically just existing anyways. Her watery body was a filter on at all times. Anything that was considered a contamination to her water was eaten. Making the water clean. Bacteria, dirt, and his potions, all were cleansed and purified into fresh drinking water in the pond when she resided in it. He gladly noted when given the okay to poke a finger in her arm that it didn’t seem to cause any harm to people and he could feel a current system to it. Once people got used to her he imagined she’d be great with kids acting like a full water park.

Lastly she could turn her arms into blades capable of cutting even the giant trees around her home. Although she preferred using this talent to make cute, well crafted ice figures he got her to cut a couple. He used this to deduce her age. She didn’t know herself. Many of the trees had newer plantings likely to reinforce her location than the ones beyond them, suggesting human planting. Though the newer trees were still a hundred years old and likely that meant so was Rossa. Rossa herself stated she felt like she’d been here a long time. Through these findings and the odd shape and depth of the pond he theorized Rossa was man made not natural. For what purpose? A weapon seemed most likely given her seemingly immortal and powerful abilities. Maybe that’s why she was seemingly abandoned there because she didn’t have a killer's instinct, but pacifism instead? Too many loose ends to know for sure.

Eventually he had to leave. He offered for her to join him. She was hesitant. He had told her about the outside world. It’s danger… like the giants that had caused their meeting to happen in the first place when they chased him into her abode. It all scared her… but she was wowed by his telling of the world's beauty… and squealed at the telling of an ocean or any body of water she couldn’t believe existed in such magnitude. She would come if he promised to take her and much to his dismay he agreed. Together with his wit and her abilities the giants wouldn’t be much of an issue. Mostly he was happy to let her be free of her loneliness.

Fast forward to now. They were on their way to his home from that pond. It was a long trek. Still more to go. Although Rossa could get huge to shorten the journey he didn’t want her scaring strangers and getting herself an early bad rap. Best to convince his village of her gentleness while small and not big, since big was often a dangerous thing.

“Rossa I know you really want to, but we really shouldn’t. Trust me in time you can do it-“

“Please Hazzie? Rossa pass up many water! Rossa ask just once! Why bridge if Rossa can just step through?”

Leaning on the rail he sighed and shook his head. The bridge wasn’t even that long. She really just wanted to take a quick dip. She gave him puppy dog eyes this time and it finally got him to cave. “Alright, fine. On one condition,” he paused while she gasped, or mimicked at least, she didn’t exactly have lungs. “Let me get up that hill there on the other side. If you’re going to do something spectacular I at least would like to have a front row seat with a view. Just try to be quick. You want to make friends not scare people, right?”

“Yes! Rossa wait for Hazzie cross. Be quick!”

He chuckled. She was a hundred years old and had the body of an adult but was such an innocent child. Taking his leave with her agreement to the terms, Hasu walked his way across and then up a nearby hill where he sat. It wasn’t too high but it’d do. Across the water the girl waved then took her first step.

Elated might have been an understatement for how enlightened the water girl looked. He wondered what went through her mind? Not much time was given to dwell on it however. In a blink and he’d have missed it speed she went from her casual five five to a soaring fifty to a hundred foot tall castle spire (he couldn’t exactly guess the height). This was exactly what he worried about. Even if there wasn’t anyone nearby he could see that didn’t mean they couldn’t see the behemoth looming in the river. Now she could cross it in three steps, maybe two. She looked ready to grow again given her excited delighted smile at being so big. Seeing so far… but then that smile was sent his way. Normally good at hiding his emotions he smiled back trying his best to not ruin it for her. As much as he didn’t want anything bad to happen this happiness of hers wasn’t something he wanted to ruin. Still she might have sensed his worry or possibly took to heart his words from before and ceased her size increases putting his heart at ease.

Taking her sweet time Rossa giggled playfully as she slow motioned her way across at the other side, she came near to Hasu, loomed over him. If he didn’t know how much of a softie she was it’d actually be scary. The water then drained at her feet traveling back down the hill to the stream. She returned to her normal height and giddily hugged him up and proclaimed how great the brief experience was.

Chuckling he took her hand and began to lead her along once more. “Come on, it’s late and we should get somewhere safe to rest. Tell me how great it was as we go.”

“Yes Hazzie. Uhm… Hazzie really say truth about ocean? River already so much water. Never ending. Ocean really so much biggers water?”

Hasu envisioned in his mind a leviathan sized Rossa with aquatic life being pushed around in her bodily currents as well as ships cresting on her shoulders. A worrisome thought calmed by seeing that giga sized soft smile. “Yes, I promise it is. There are rivers bigger than that one even. Ones that need grand bridges to get across miles and miles. All that water inevitably has to arrive somewhere too. That is often a fantastic lake or even… the ocean.”

She gave him misty eyes full of wonderment. Hopefully by the time he got her to one plenty of people would love her and when she got her chance to bask in the endless waters she wouldn’t be seen as a monster to them but a shining, shimmering beacon.
