Don't get me wrong; I LOVE the original The Cat in the Hat story by Dr. Seuss, but I'm afraid I cannot say the same for the live-action adaptation from 2003. I used to like this movie back when I was a wee toddler, but years later after doing research and serious thinking, I now think the opposite. To put it simply, this movie is the antithesis of what made Dr. Seuss' stories so fantastic, and I don't need to watch Nostalgia Critic's review on this trash to see how ABYSMAL it is. Just by looking at the poster and watching the film itself, I can tell that this movie's gonna be terrible. And it is, no thanks to the unfunny jokes and the terrible, terrible acting. Heck, even Mike Myers (who played the titular cat) really hated being in this film, and his acting clearly shows.
Bottom line: don't waste your time with this movie. If you like Dr. Seuss' works, I strongly recommend you do NOT watch this movie. It's so terrible, you'll want to bleach your eyes out.
