Judging by how modern Spongebob has gotten you are right it is rigged. That or kids like to see Spongebob stuck in a wringer and seeing Plankton about to commit suicide. That and most of the choices are dumb in 2011 Just Dance 2 beaten Mario Galaxy 2.

Just Dance 2 is a little (LOOK -a LITTLE) better than Mario Galaxy 2. The plumber been on our Nintendo systems for far too long.

Well Mario Galaxy 2 is just a expansion pack to the first game when you think about it. Heck some of the levels in that game are just clones of ones from the first. But atleast the gameplay is still good though that's what matters. But back to Spongebob he doesn't deserve those awards. I mean modern Spongebob is mostly just gross out the viewer or torture Squidward until he cries.
