🐰🐟🦀 SUBMERGED 🦀🐟🐰

This illustration is more surreal than my first few pieces of this year, and it was fun getting back into the groove of creating more strange work.

This idea came about from the concept of whalefall, which is when a whale corpse sinks all the way to the bottom of the ocean and is consumed by the deep sea life until only bones are left.
My choice to include a rabbit costume being the subject of this underwater feast came from the sheer weirdness of the concept. Why would a weird animal costume be lying on the seabed?

My tools during the process of this illustration involved biros, crayons and markers (permanent and copic). I'm really branching out into incorporating different utensils into my art, and my creativity is flourishing because of it.

Unfortunately, my camera quality doesn't do this illustration justice, but that's something I'm hoping to remedy in the future.
