Description

Jay Azuli stood at the edge of the outdoor arena, his fingers gently brushing over the stiff fabric of the show jacket he had borrowed. It was a pristine piece of equestrian attire, a stark contrast to the colorful array of rainbow pride buttons adorning his shirt. He looked down at his own outfit and let out a soft, self-deprecating mumble, "I look like a clown."

The rainbow buttons represented a part of himself that Jay didn't often share openly, a quiet acknowledgment of his queer identity. He wasn't one to shout it from the rooftops, but he believed in supporting others like him. As he stood there, surrounded by the equestrian community, he couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging, even with the contrasting attire.

The height of the jumps had been adjusted to match their skill level, but it didn't diminish the sense of anticipation that hung in the air.

With a final deep breath, Jay urged Aredhel forward, and they began their course. The shedu's powerful strides carried them toward the first jump. As they approached, Jay couldn't help but admire the grace and agility with which Aredhel soared over the obstacle. It was as though she had been born to do this.

The early morning mist was still thick, though Jay could see it quickly disappearing. It was still early, and he had a lot more events to get to...
