Wyatt decided he'd spend some time in the spellcasting club and ran into Melanie who decided to check out the magic circle that he was creating. What he had summoned with his magic circle was his own magic in physical form. It seemed that even after ascending to a purer form of magic, some of his dark magic was still trying to manifest some of his deep inner emotions. Clearly, this was something he was going to have to fix as it sometimes attempted to change him into somebody that he isn't.

The magic takes form of a feral version of Wyatt who's eyes and mouth fluids are made of green sludge. He used to be unstable at first and was the reason Wyatt had gotten impaled at the King's tournament. Now that Wyatt as cleared up since then, his sludge counterpart is now acting domestic. It's a start, but the appearance is still no good, as long as it's still there, there's always a possibility Wyatt could fall into it's despair and insanity once again.

At the very least, the chances of him falling back into that state are unlikely as he has removed the evil influences from his life.
