Because They're Annoying: Haruhi Suzimiya (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya) - I swear, I REALLY wanted to like this character. After hearing so many great things about this anime, I decided to give it a chance and see what all the hype was for, but after sitting through the first 10 episodes, it was time for me to drop it because of its insufferable heroine! I understand that Haruhi was supposed to be kind of annoying, but just listening to her talk gives me a migraine. Not only is she loud and obnoxious, she's also a complete bully that forces her fellow club members to participate in embarrassing (and sometimes dangerous) activities, and even sexually assaults one of them by groping her breasts constantly! What's worse is that she only does these things because "she finds real life boring and wants excitement in her life", even if it means getting someone else emotionally and physically hurt in the process.Because They're Bland: Jack Darby (Transformers Prime) - Human characters are usually the most difficult to write when making a Transformers series, but DEAR GOD, is this character boring! He's the stereotypical emo teenager with daddy issues, and he only shows 3 emotions: bored, confused, and depressed. My God, kid, crack a smile for once!
Because Their Character Makes No Sense: Chloe Carmichael (The Fairly Odd Parents) - So, let me get this straight...this girl, who's super popular in her school and a national hero in her hometown, is chosen to share Timmy's fairy godparents, even though it's been established in the series time and time again that a fairy godparent can only be assigned to a child that's miserable! Chloe was already living the perfect life, so how does she get to share fairy godparents with someone else, when she was never miserable to begin with?!
Because They're a Gary-Stu: Kirito (Sword Art Online) - Wow, a guy that can take down a Level 40 player at just Level 20, beat a couple of games that he's not familiar with (Alfheim and Gun Gale) without any kind of training, AND is constantly pursued by a harem of women and underaged girls? Yup, sounds like a Gary-Stu to me.
Because They're Disturbed: Christian Grey (The Fifty Shades of Grey series) - Ugh!! There's not enough words in the dictionary to describe how disgusting this character is. He's EXACTLY how a sexual predator would behave in real life! He lures a young woman, who only knows about his non-sadistic side, into his home, forces her to participate in certain "BDSM" activities that she clearly doesn't like, and spends the rest of their relationship stalking and harassing her into signing a contract that she never agrees to. And you know what? That's only the bare bones version of the story, as it gets much worse in the book! In the book, Christian starts his little kinky sex craze with Ana by brutally spanking her without warning, and is shocked to discover that it made her cry, despite saying that he took "classes" for this kind of stuff, and never comforts her after making her cry. Then, after discussing the legal terms of the contract with her, Christian takes complete control of Ana's life: telling her where to go, what to wear, what to eat, who to talk to, etc. But it gets SO much worse! At one point in the book, Christian wants to have sex with Ana while she's on her period, so he forcefully pulls out her dirty tampon and throws it in the toilet! I wish I was making this up.
Because They're Toxic: Billy Hargrove (Stranger Things) - God, I hate this character! I know that we're supposed to hate Billy, but even for a character we're "supposed" to hate, there's literally nothing about him that's even remotely likable or redeemable. He abuses his younger stepsister 24/7, he manipulates other adults in order to get what he wants, and he's a racist bigot to poor Lucas! I don't care if his daddy was mean to him, I REFUSE to sympathize with a manipulative, racist bully that abuses children!
Because They're a Stereotype: Sonata Dusk (Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks) - Wow, a ditzy character that's part of a trio of mean girls? That trope's definitely not overused at all (note my obvious sarcasm)!
Because I Can't Relate: Kylo Ren (Star Wars - the sequel trilogy) - Whether you love or hate the Star Wars franchise, they always had a range of interesting and unique villains, sometimes they end up being more interesting than the heroes, though I can't really say the same for Ben "Kylo Ren" Solo. Even with his "tragic backstory", I still can't relate to a guy who: betrayed his uncle, murdered some of his fellow students, killed his father in cold blood, tried doing the same with his mother and uncle, and told a young woman with abandonment issues that she was "nothing" and "nobody cares about her except him". It doesn't help that his fans treat him like a god and act like he did nothing wrong.
Because They're a Jerk-Sue: Paul (Pokemon Diamond and Pearl) - I don't care if this character is a fan favorite, I don't care if he was "Ash's best rival". There's a difference between a good rival and a good character, and Paul, in my opinion, is neither. He's one of the most ridiculous, whiny, edgelord/emo stereotypes I've ever seen in any kind of show! The only 2 ways this guy reacts to things is with smirking or scowling. Not only that, but Paul had NO real motives for acting the way he did in DP! Why did he abuse and abandon his Pokemon whenever they didn't become stronger? Why was he always so rude to his peers? Why was he so disrespectful to the Gym Leaders? The anime never answers these questions, but instead gives us this "clash of ideals" excuse to make Ash look more morally superior. Christ, even Gary Oak had more depth than this douchebag! It didn't help that he took literally 187 episodes to learn the error of his ways. Also, WHAT IS UP WITH THOSE EYEBROWS?! I mean, I know that Paul's supposed to be an antagonist in this series, but MY GOD...those permanently angry eyebrows of his throw all subtlety right out the window!
Because They're Mean: Myrtle Edmonds (The Lilo & Stitch franchise) - This little brat just makes Angelica Pickles look like an angel! I'm not even joking. She uses her group of friends to bully Lilo everyday, insults Lilo's surrogate family on a number of occasions, AND makes fun of her for being an orphan! Not only that, but she reminds me of a girl I knew in 1st and 2nd grade, who also had a couple of friends that would bully me and make fun of me for being different, and strangely enough....she also had curly red hair just like Myrtle.
Because They're Too Nice: Lila Sawyer (Hey Arnold!) - To be fair, I don't exactly "hate" Lila, but I don't really "like" her either. At first, she was meant to be this shy, "girl next door" type, but after her debut episode, the writers decided to turn her into a cheap plot device for Helga and Arnold, and a borderline Stepford wife! Seriously, she's smart in just about every class, always super polite and nice to everyone, and she's great with animals. Now, there's nothing wrong with being friendly or polite, but those are just about the only traits Lila seem to have in the whole show. It doesn't make for a very interesting character in my opinion.
Because of Subtext: Obito Uchiha (Naruto) - I've ranted about this character before, and if you want my full opinion on him, read this: fav.me/db7arkw
Because of Their Fanbase: Sasuke and Sarada Uchiha (Naruto/Boruto) - Just like Lila, I don't exactly "hate" Sasuke or Sarada, but their fans have REALLY gotten on my nerves over the past couple years. Let me start with Sasuke.
Now, Sasuke was a character I've always been very neutral towards. He was never one of my "favorite" characters, but I thought he was kind of interesting (up until the Naruto Gaiden manga, but I'll get to that part soon). Though, I eventually got tired of him taking all the spotlight from the other reoccurring characters in the manga (particularly the ones who never got a real story arc, like Team 8 for instance), but that's not what pisses me off the most. What DOES piss me off the most are his zealous and rabid fans who act like the series would somehow "die" without him. Have these people forgotten that the story is called Naruto?! I mean, I know that Sasuke's one of the main characters, and one of the most popular in the series, but there's SO much more to the series than just Sasuke. Hell, some of the manga's most memorable moments don't even involve Sasuke at all!
Another thing about Sasuke's fanbase that especially ticks me off, is how they actually believe that Naruto wanted to leave his wife and children to go on that "top secret Ootsutsuki mission" with Sasuke, even though Sasuke's been away from HIS wife and child a lot longer, and I've got the manga panels to prove it:

Sarada, on the other hand, was a character that I really loved at first, but most of her fans became so entitled and obnoxious to the point where they'd bash some of the other Next Generation Kids (ESPECIALLY Boruto, but also Himawari, Sumire, and occasionally Mitsuki). Also, I REALLY hate how the anime is having her act all brash and stuck-up like Sasuke, when she wasn't even like that in the manga at all!
Because They're Overrated: The Minions (The Despicable Me franchise) - I don't care if these guys are "cute" or popular with kids. Their designs are bland, they all have the same stupid personality, and honestly....I never really found them to be that funny. Also, their high-pitched voices and baby gibberish REALLY annoy the heck out of me.
Because They Changed Too Much: Brian Griffin (Family Guy) - There was a time when Brian used to be one of my favorite characters in Family Guy. He used to be the straight man to Stewie's mad evil genius antics, and was the usually the voice of reason, but then Play It Again, Brian happened, and he easily became one of the WORST characters in the show ever since! Not only did they play him up as a straight up attempted rapist in Play It Again, Brian, but the following seasons after that showed him to be: an abusive and neglectful father, a misogynistic womanizer, a racist bigot, a terrible friend, and even a pedophile!
Because I DON'T: Jared Shapiro (The MillennialPuff Girls) - Again, if you want my full opinion on this character, read this: fav.me/dboflsi

Who cares if anyone lost? (Both heroes and villains) They need to deal with it. They can’t win all time.
Whatever. If it’s not abusive, then I don’t know what is.

You're right; who cares? It's all in fun (that's what I mean when I said it makes competition feel more exhilarating).

If you believe it’s all fun, then why you believe losing a battle is for losers?

Because I hate to lose.

But it isn’t something to make deal out of it. Sane people lost a game but they didn’t turn into villain rivals like what Paul did.

I know it isn't, FYI. And wouldn't you hate losing, too?

If it someone who didn’t deserved to win, then yeah I would be angry. But would I turn into like what Paul did? Hell no.

I'm indifferent to the Minions and disagree on Haruhi but I respect your opinion. The rest, girl I agree about that and I don't know some of the rest on here.
Yes on Paul! Seriously, even as a kid I found him to be a total douchenozzle.
Sarada, well I guess her anime counterpart is more of mixed feelings for me.
Sasuke,I absolutely strongly dislike.
Christan Grey's a creep, nuff said same with Jared. Like I said for Kirito, nuff said. Chloe shouldn't have fairies in my opinion if her life is all peaches and cream.
