Surely some of you will recognize this one
. It's the christmas card I did last year for my publisher, Norma Editorial. Since a year has passed I supposse it's about time to show you 
. And, yes, it's the one I used for my avatar and the journal head ^_^. I hope to be able to do a new christmas card these days to wish you a happy new year

Does the sand falling through her fingers symbolize "time is running out"?

It means exactly "time is always running". The sand falling it's like the time that you cannot have anymore, the time that becomes a memory

It's totally painted from scratch. I used Photoshop to paint it, but the way of work is very similar to oil painting, brush by brush and line by line

I like the way you used just a touch of Christmas colours on the Holly and Ponsetia with the balance in blue.

The sand means that "time is always running". The sand that is falling between her fingers is the time that cannot repeat itself, that becames a memory
