I got this ignorant comment from a user (that also blocked me before I saw and could reply) about how aging up a character to date an already adult character is wrong. And it irritated me. Because, obviously, characters never grow. People aren’t allowed to take characters and make them older so its not ethically wrong to ship them with someone. No way does anyone ever get older and make their own decision on who they like. That’s just unthinkable. So instead of aging up, let’s age down!Presenting: Young Flurry and Larva Thorax. Daw, aren’t babies in love cute?

So sweet! At first when I read the title I thought you were referring to the the race of aliens from Star Trek that are born old but age down as they are dying.

Some people seem to take age WAY too seriously. I don't understand what is wrong with a loving relationship between two characters whom are, in the setting, both of age. Like, people IRL have relationships with large gaps, why can't fictional characters as well? While I'm not a FlurRax shipper, this is still super cute. You're not hurting anyone and I say keep shipping whatever you like as long as it keeps up that way.

I honestly love this ship and I'm glad that I'm not the only one who does.
I also agree it's ignorant of people to hate on this pairing as well since:
1. We don't know the actual age of Thorax for all we know maybe in Changleing years he could be the same age as Spike for all we know. Also it was shown in one of the MLP comics that similar to alicorns Changelings are ALSO immortal or at least live far longer then normal.
2. How is shipping Thorax and a now older Flurryheart any different from ships like Fluttershy x Discord or Rose Quartz and Greg. It's been confirmed that RQ and Discord are clearly WAY older then Fluttershy and Greg but does anyone say THAT'S wrong? I think the only reason why people fuss about this is just because in the canon universe she's a baby, but babies grow up, and when she is older she is allowed to be with Thorax. As long as Flurry is over 18 I honestly don't mind Flurry with Thorax (if it was the opposite of that then I would have a problem. But it's not and I still love these two).
3. When people are 18 or older they marry people who are twice their age, it's a common fact. Like maybe a twenty year old marries someone eighteen years older then them. So honestly I don't see the harm.
So again it's honestly great to see this art and someone else who honestly like this ship too.
