Description
Hi !Here is a tutorial about improving your cat photography.
I truly hope this tutorial will be helpful... and that you'll like it.
There are few things I can add :
- I never take cat photos in studio and most of the time I use only natural light (outside, or throught a window when I'm inside).
- All my cat pictures are hand-held photos (no tripod).
- All the advice I give are good for animal photography in general.
... Don't hesitate to ask if something isn't clear !
Feel free to show me your work.
EDIT :
Here is 's great work !

Oops, the thumb thing didn't work. I'm DA challenged. I have it at the top of my profile page if you're interested in taking a look.

Hi !
Firstly, I'm sorry for the late answer ^^'
Well, I think your picture is truly interesting, and the point of view is good !
If you let me criticize, I would tell you that you could have come closer in order to cut the left part (so you don't show her whole body and give her more importance in the composition).
But it's still a good shot !
May I add a thumb in my tutorial's comment ?
Anyway, thanks for showing me.

No worries, I'm sure you have tons of messages to sort through.
I am always open to ways to improve my photos, so thank you for the advice
I do agree with you on the composition. It would have given her more importance in the shot.
I would be honored if you added the thumb to your tutorial. Thank you for taking the time look and offer your advice. It is much appreciated

Hi! I did finally get a picture of my cat, but it was kind of accidental. It was meant to be a conceptual piece and she just kind of walked into it lol. I thought I'd share anyways since I hadn't gotten the shot I wanted using your tutorial (I'm still working on it though).

They were being particularly lazy this weekend, so I wasn't able to get them anywhere near a window with decent lighting, haha. I'm going to keep trying though, and I'll be sure to drop you a link when I get something good

Hi !
Try to take many pictures in one time, your cats will finally stop moving XD. You also can repeat these shootings to use your cats to your camera, so they will stop moving every time you want to photography they

Love it!
I've been taking pictures of my cats forever without putting too much thought into it; I've always wanted to learn how to better myself with it. Most of the good shots I have are just sheer luck. This tutorial helps a lot!
