I took this photo in a forest somewhere near ZaΔ·umuiΕΎa, Latvia. I remember the day was very serene, woods being very dense, so it was mostly dark, even at midday. But this little sapling, it had found a spot to grow right where trees gave way to light for it.Related content

My first thought when I see this, is "New Life". Then after reading the description, I feel it even more. I love how the sapling is in focus, while the background around it is out of focus. This helps me to see the new sapling even better. I love how the sunlight hits the sapling, highlighting it even more. The picture is so clear and beautiful. Looking at it, I feel calm and happy. I feel hope also, for this new little tree being given a chance to grow some place very far from me. The colors add to this feeling!

When you garden you tend to have an increased appreciation for this moment. You carefully prepared the soil, you gently watered, you waited, you could seen faint green matter trying to push its way out from an errant ball of dirt of splinters of mulch, and the next thing you know they're an inch or two tall. It think in days of instant gratification, things like this are worth waiting for. That's what your picture made me think of, thank you for sharing your artwork with us <3

It cought my eye for 1. being a nic, heartwarming photo and 2. it recalled a memory of a similar plant that i've once found growing up from a crack in a concrete floor of a very very old cellars with no light whatsoever. The tiny plant was still green and looked just like that one from your photo.
