Chapter 10: Vision Of Truth? Or Vision of Lies?
You were shocked. An animatronic had fallen for you. What's more, that animatronic held the corpse and soul of a child murderer. You were disgusted. At the same time you felt a small twitch of sorrow. Springtrap had been the closest thing to a friend you had ever had in your entire life. You'd lost that. No, he had made you lose that.
You sat back in the chair, waiting for the time to pass. For some reason springtrap had left the camera monitor on the table. You watched him roam the restaurant, observing his wanderings. He never wandered anywhere close to the office. His face was filled with pain. once again you felt sorrow. Once again you shoved it away. Slowly the time passed, until, finally, it reached 6 am.
You picked up your bag and exited the building. As you left you passed Springtrap. You felt his eyes on your back and sensed the anguish in it without looking. You quickened your pace, practically running to your car as you exited the building. You drove home, and upon opening the door, your eyes opened wide. The place was trashed. Everything had been destroyed. And the wall.....
Painted on the wall were the words, "It's me." And the paint was a deep red. You went to the wall, and saw that it was still wet. You touched it and when you pulled your hand away you knew the dark red substance was blood, not paint. You backed away.
You soon discovered that nothing had been spared. Only one thing hadn't been touched: the uniforms. You collapsed in the midst of you demolished home. Trying not to hyperventilate, you sat there. But soon something caught your attention. In the middle of the debris was an ax. you reached out for it and when you did you were gripped by a vision.
I was running from them. Why were they chasing me? I didn't do anything to them, I had managed to throw them of of my trail, but I knew I didn't have long until they found it again. I went into the concealed safe room, remembering that my older brother had told me he had left an ax there.
I found it and hefting it, noticed that the blade was caked with what looked like blood but was probably just rust. I heard them coming, so I secured the safe room and ran. Unfortunately I ran straight into them.
"Fuck" I backed away. Straight into a wall. They advanced, so I raised the ax. When it was over I realized had only been chased by the old animatronics and balloon boy. I thought. The new ones, the toy ones were still there. I wasn't safe. Not yet. I waited. No one came. Why the hell had they been chasing me?
I was watching the new security guard from the shadows. I chuckled. The ghosts would never suspect me. By destroying the animatronics they inhabited, he has sealed his fate.
They had been destroyed again, and they would believe the same person had done it again. Especially since he was wearing a purple suit and was a security guard. I chuckle under my breathe as I watch him pick up the pieces and put them in the spare parts room. No one would notice the animatronics were missing they had been out of commission for a while. he knew that. But the phantoms would see it as him hiding the evidence of the destruction, as their murderer had, the murderer being me.
I followed him, and when he finally left, I went to retrieve the ax, and a wicked grin spread across my face.
The vision ended then, and you saw you were still clutching the ax. You threw it away from you. "Was Springtrap telling the truth?" You wonder. "I don't know what to do, I want to figure out the truth." Maybe if you figured out the truth the animatronics would stop killing people. Maybe the kids within the animatronics would finally be able to be put to rest, and the killings would stop.
But then you realized you would need Springtrap's help. Innocent or guilty, he was key to putting the children to rest. But you didn't want to be around him. Not after finding out he fell for you. It freaked you out. It wasn't possible for her to be with him, an animatronic that was only animate with life because of a rotting corpse inside of him. You rolled your eyes. Of course it's natural to be repulsed by that.
But you begin to feel pity for Springtrap, knowing that because of what he is no girl could ever love him. Maybe you should cut him some slack, especially now that you know that he might be telling the truth. You know that he probably knows that, and would be glad to at least have a friend.
You don't trust him, but you're going to have to, at least for the time being. You look at the time and realize it's 9:30 PM. You realize that the vision had you out of it for a while. Remembering the vision made you shudder. You looked across the room toward where you threw the ax. It was gone. So was the blood on the walls, but your destroyed possessions were still strewn across the room.
You grab your keys and get out. You didn't want to stay in your destroyed apartment a second longer. Once in your car you drive away in a hurry heading toward your job earlier than needed, like the night before, Except instead of shutting Springtrap out, you're letting him in... though warily this time.
