Description Teatime whispered the little crow. We will save time for you madam. Yes, tea is what we will have.
Teatime whispered the withered trees. We will calm the breeze for you madam. Yes we will calm the wind for tea.
Teatime whipered the blurry skys. We will hold back the rain for you madam. Yes we will leave out the sun for tea.
Shhhhhh, whispered the madam . It is time for tea.

Well i had so so much fun on this picture. I jsut really dont know what to say, it was inspired by alot of James Christensen's work, and the flemish painters. Dear lord her dress took me forever. Reason for this picture just started out as wanting to draw that dress.......lol......yeh shallow. Well hope you all enjoy.

Wow...the dress is gorgeous. It's a good thing you set out just to draw that dress. =3
I like the crow off th the side too. Lil guy looks kinda demeaned that she told him to be quiet.

Stunning colours and detail, and that dress, oh my! I think the wall could use a bit more colour variation and the decoration thingys on the train of her dress isn't quite in the correct perspective. I hope I'm not nitpicking.

not nickpicking at all!!!!!! Dont even think that, yeh the wall seems a little drenched in one color, and yeh some of the gems are tweaked slightly . Thankyou so much linda for the critique, it always helps.

^^ I love the way this looks like a painting... impasto background and smoothe-as-can-be alabaster skin cradling lightly flowered porcelain.... ooh, the contrast. My favorite parts are the hair net and the wings, though.... *.* Wings.

I'm sure it will happen, you're very very talented. I'm just glad I see this stuff now so that when it IS in a museum I can be like "Ehh I remember back in the day when this was on the Eeen-ter-net, on deviantart or summat like that."(granted I won't be old I'll just like talking like that because it's a museum O_o) Hee hee hee. Np.

beautiful dress... i love the cowebby sleeve ruffles thing... like the pic... but i think the crumbling wall thing overwhelms the pic a bit... maybe if it's abit lower? like the poem too... kinda spooky without being scary or evil... just a little bit of weird mischief... weird in a good way... :>

blest poet

I love the detail at the bottom of her dress, the gold braiding for some reason really catches my eye. I dont know if you really need the bird in there, it looks nice but I think the negative space would have offset her busy dress just as well ^_^ Very lovley painting!

don't feel bad about wanting to draw the dress.
sometimes our intentions may not be as idealistic as the rest of the world would deem it to be - bugger them, i say! bugger them all!

the beauty of it all, is that from our own desires, how ever selfish or shallow they may seem, the journey often enriches us - with the end result being a gift to share with all.

ps. btw, the image is beautiful, almost surreal.

Wonderful!

I love the attention to detail on the trim... The "knit" look of the maroon fabric is interesting.

The bird gets a little lost, unfortunately.

But! Great image! : )
